How we make money

What that money does not buy: a better ranking, a softer review, or a spot we do not think a tool has earned. Our recommendations are based on published pricing, documented features, and how well a tool fits a specific trade. When a tool is the wrong choice for your situation, we say so — even when it pays us.
How we keep pricing accurate
Prices change. We pull pricing directly from each vendor and re-check it on a regular schedule. Every comparison shows a “last updated” date so you know how fresh the numbers are. If you spot a price that has drifted, tell us and we will fix it.
